Are you good with Godiba?
Wakayama station can be used reliably.
I think that it is vacant if you avoid the rear vehicle and the stairs.
Outside the ticket gate, on the observation deck of the station building
Yes, I think if you can
One of my favorite stations because it’s so beautiful with many shops and restaurants.
we were lost in this big station..we took one day off from our tour guide to experience local transport..and was amazed with the station...met with one fine Japanese gentleman who led us to the tourist centre in the station..where we bought our tickets and day pass for Osaka attractions..everyone must try the experience of Japanese line..its very systematic and diff from other countries
One of the best station I've ever visit, the integration with the mall just make it even better and sometimes confusing lol.The gate to go anywhere and visit every corner of Japan, this place is so clean as expected, even tho crowded most of the time, I just can't feel overwhelmed by people here. And don't forget, if you want a free observation deck for looking around, just head to the rooftop near the cinema, it has a terrace with a good view to the infamous Umeda Sky Building!
nice shop with oishi cheese cake
This station, like any other major train station in Japan, can be overwhelming for first time travelers. It is a maze of shops, restaurants, and of course, the different train lines and platforms. However, if you use Google Maps, common sense, and read the signs, you will find that this station is easy to navigate. Easier to navigate than its Tokyo counterpart...
This place is massive and very busy at all times. But you have to come through here for almost everything. So you better get used to it.
Osaka city station, like other Japanese transit stations, is really well organized and efficient. There is ample signage to direct you where to go. Many staff members speak English as well. Osaka station is massive. There are shops and places to eat everywhere. There definitely is more ever Western feel to the city, with pastries, burgers, North American influence music, etc. Even if you're not using rail or subways, this is a cool place to visit and see. There is very modern and beautiful architecture throughout the entire station.
Very clean and comfortable travel. Busy during peak times. But easier to find trains after few days spend there 😆 been there on Christmas 2018. Very nice decoration works.
Good luck finding your way around if you need help because the staff don't speak English at all!!
Very big train station.Several department stores and shopping complex around the station.A lot of restaurants inside.
clean and tidy station but also like a maze. the crowd was amazing...
Great place to look around while waiting for your train, staff can speak English. The building is very large, so you might want to take a few hours off to appreciate the architecture. There are a lot of monuments nearby and since Osaka Station is a connection major hub, you can practically go anywhere within the lines.
huge station, link to other lines, always crowded. information staff has badge which stated what kind of language they can speak, very helpful
Big and beatiful
Another great, huge station JR station.Very clean and many things to see/buy.this is also where we (my wife and I) jumped on the Osaka Loop line and stopped by a few tourist spots.Like many big stations, this has a huge shopping component to it.
This place has some amazing food shops . You can get lost easily here if you’re a foreigner. You should try the sushi here and the cheese cakes it was yummy .
Large and fancy with lots of shops but super complicated (especially for first time visitors!)
Awesome station with lots of staff which speak English. Good location. Fancy escalators and you could shop here for hours on end and you are treated with a good view.
busy yet ckear signs
I think woman staffs should be more polite and have egao when listening to customers. I met one irritated woman staff at the JR central entrance gate when asking about teikiken. She wanted to finish my question and run away asap. That made me shocked about Osaka JR customer service. Osaka JR should learn Tokyo JR or Nagoya JR.
The busiest station in Osaka. Get ready battling with a huge crowd as you move along🤭
So big i almost lost in there! Definitely need to check the maps if u dont want to get on wrong line! Avoid rush hours
Huge station with heaps of shopping and food options to keep you occupied while waiting for trains. Subway is connected through a short walk through shops.
The station is very big and with so many different rail lines, visitors can get lost easily, but generally it's good
This station is huge. The restaurants here are good. Tasty food. Just sit back and relax at the top of the station enjoying the Osaka view.
DescriptionOsaka is a large port city and commercial center on the Japanese island of Honshu. It's known for its modern architecture, nightlife and hearty street food. The 16th-century shogunate Osaka Castle, which has undergone several restorations, is its main historical landmark. It's surrounded by a moat and park with plum, peach and cherry-blossom trees. Sumiyoshi-taisha is among Japan’s oldest Shinto shrines.
Super clean, modern, efficient, on time trqin station with an upscale mall indoors to suit your every need from food to gifts to convenience stores.
Modern and advanced train station....
It's really big. I got lost.
Great train station. Information staff is at selected corners. The information Osaka staff I spoke with had a strong command of the English language. The shopping malls very big and multiple floors. Foods is amazing too. You could spend a good 4 hours for shopping.
Excellent station. Very efficient and easy to navigate once you get to understand its layout. Good signage that lets you get around without Japanese language skills. Lot's of food and shopping options in and about the complex. Many great memories of catching trains that never let me down.
clean n have rooftop garden.nice scene
Mindblowing, eyecatching, thoughtprovoking & hairraising.
Wifi is dreadful. I tried to connect to the “JR West wifi” for nearly 15 minutes and the. Finally gave up...😕
A lot of people. Walking distance to several malls. Very convenient
Gigantic station. Easy to get lost. Access to many JR routes. You can find clean rest room here. Restaurant available.
Accessible place, just read the signage and platform numbers to go to designated trains easily and fast
Marvel pop up 15f, Pokemon center 13f
Another well planned and efficient Japan city central train station. Lots of food and shopping places. Main JR line is in main station and other Osaka lines are at stations nearby. Used lockers, many were full so we had to hunt around. 400 y for a medium locker that fit a small carry on suitcase and a large travel pack. Main JR pass booking are done near the central gate, well sign posted.
Efficiently run train station and very helpful staff. Worth a walk around to discover the beautiful angles of this impressively designed building. Venture out to Osaka Station City for even more shops and restaurants.
High end shopping with amazing food choices. This place must have 200 places to eat for any budget.
Really big station but easy to navigate
Ordinarily I would give any train station in Japan 5 stars, but the station guard here was very rude and did not give us a chance to explain our situation before shunning us off.Thankfully we had another kind guard who stepped in to help us with the situation. This lady guard gets 5 stars hands down for the spectacular service, but her co-worker 1 star. Hence the 3 star review.
A biggest and busiest station on Osaka. That might be the reason why it is looks like a common situation when people get lost in here. Usually some people can't differ a JR station with a subway station. This one is a JR. It is a huge building with a lot of restaurants, big store around and definetly the big railway system.
An enormously impressive specimen of a railway station in a slightly confusing shopping district served by multiple rail lines and itself filled with a dizzying abundance of shopping options linked together by escalators and broad staircases and covered by an almighty hood of steel and glass crisscrossed in its structure and by several thousand people on the go back home or to work or to eat and shop in the cool comfort that is this mega station.
Very big and modern station in Osaka city. Many train lines pass here.
Most things are straightforward and when you use Google Maps things are made easier (it tells you the platform number).Just be careful that some trains will separate in 2 parts at some stations but it is clearly indicated on the screen. Usually the front cars will go to the last destinations.
Probably one of my favorite stations in all of Japan, if not my favorite altogether. I love that it’s connected to the JR and Metro Osaka lines, and contains tons of eateries plus a movie theater! Osaka station is more than a train station, it’s an entertainment and food haven. It’s also located in a place where you can get to Kyoto, Kobe, or Nara very easily. I love this station!
If you’re in a hurry, this place could be a nightmare but if you’re just exploring and wandering around, this place is a beauty. Photos were taken in 2019 (pre-COVID) and on Friday nights (maybe weekends too) people just chill here and it’s such a relaxing environment. Oh and besides that you can take a train here to literally anywhere 😂
A huge train station, it is easy to get lost here with so many floors. Lots of places to shop and eat here.
